My Family... and Other Animals!!!

Well I thought you might like to meet the 'rank and file' that help to keep me motivated, cook tea when I have crafting implements in hand, and pour me a stiff gin when things are not going according to plan (said plan being sketchy to say the least!)

THE WAYNAGE
First we have "The Waynage" (pictured here with his daughter, the delightful Tessa)- laid back aspiring rock star (yes, still! ... never give up on your dreams!) and all-round cool dude. Chef, bartender, and ideas man... he has it all! I just love him to bits, he is "The One"... always has been, it's that simple!

He is a vital part of Celf Berw cos without him it probably never would have been birthed!

DOG
Next we have my darling daughter Bex. She is smart, witty, pretty, and - as yet - doesn't have a crafting bone in her body... where did I go wrong??!!!

Bex has just finished her A levels and is taking a summer to have some fun before going on to study Psychology and Criminology at University.

In addition to all of this she makes the best Earl Grey tea ever and is a supremely good hugger when you're feeling low. She will listen to me witter on about any kind of craft and even show an interest where she really doesn't have one!

She is my little honey-bee, I'm so very proud of her and I'd be lost without her :)

THE SPIN-STER

My friend Ally... now although she's not an 'actual' relative, she's more 'family' than most people ever have, or could want. She is the sort of person that will do anything for those close to her, including telling them the bad alongside the good... something we could all do with from time to time.

She is inspiring, the voice of reason, a Craft-isan Queen, and an all round good egg! After an operation to remove a brain tumour in December, did she sit quietly convalescing? No, she taught herself to drop spin and became a force to be reckoned with on Etsy! I love this woman and count myself as very lucky to have her in my family :)

  2. Overall - this Blog is a lovely happy sunny window onto the craftisan microcosm that is The Berw Road. Little do people in the wider world know what scurrying and creating of crafsters and genius artists goes on up and down this famous stretch of the Taff. However - all that is about to change....
