Well okay, so maybe we shouldn't really call it a bookclub, but it is to us, and we're not exclusive, if you feel you'd like to join in then you should!
I think this idea hatched as a way of getting each other to read books that we love, which is great, but I guess both of us work better with some kind of structure about these things, so, a bookclub it is!!
So the first book we're starting with was my choice and it's Audrey Niffenegger's "The Time Traveller's Wife". One of the books I have enjoyed reading most in my life, one which made me both laugh out loud and sob my heart out. Let's hope that when Ally gets into it she feels the same too.

Well - I am so pleased to be able to respond to this post by smugly saying that I have been good and as promised - last night - read 2 chapters! I am very much intrigued by this so far. It is unusual, fast moving and catching my interest. I like it so far. I am pleased to be "forced" to read books I may not pick myself due to a lifetime of irrational built in preferences and prejudices (which we all acquire I'm sure). Hopefully the book club will kick some sense into my mindset thus far and open new and happy horizons from sources other than me:)
